At P1 we develop our fuel formulations from the ground up and blend only pure chemical components to achieve desired specifications of our fuels, which guarantees the utmost consistency to our customers.
Refinery Based Process
For decades the industry standard has been to use crude oil refinery feedstock to produce racing, reference or testing fuels at the same facilities as road fuels. Because of the fossil nature of crude oil its direct derivatives contain a long list of undesired chemical elements and substances. These impurities are being reduced to the technically/economically possible minimum during the refining process, but will always remain present in the base fuel.
A further challenge is that no two barrels of crude oil, being a creation of nature, are 100% identical in their composition, hence the final output is always inconsistent to a certain degree.
Pure Component Based Process
At P1 we do not use a refining process to manufacture our fuels. We do not take an imperfect feedstock material and then try to refine it or add chemicals to mask its weak properties. We develop our fuel formulations from the ground up and blend only pure chemical components to achieve the desired specifications of the final fuel, which guarantees the utmost consistency to our customers.
Our company has spent considerable amounts of resources improving and honing our fuel development process in the racing fuel industry. We have propelled and continue to support various renowned teams around the world with our high performing race fuels.
